It was amazing! I saw so many things. Way back when, oil companies didn't use pipe...they used canals to move oil. This one canal I was shown goes on for miles...at least 17 (that's how much of it I viewed last night) I also was told that all riveted tanks are being replaced with welded ones...the riveted tanks are leaking. I had thought these tanks I've always passed by were empty...they're really old, but found out not the case!
The fractured bumpy roller coaster road...That's where the professor has been doing his research, trying to predict where the next sink will be. He'll be doing sonar testing soon, I have tickets to the event ;)
Wow! You are onto some good stuff out there. I want to come see.
I bet those canals are full of toxins that have leached into your drinking water. They should be considered a superfund site. And all the old tanks leak like crazy. Yuck! What are we doing to our children's futures?
Well, I was even told about the lakes that had been in Wink something to do with Monument Draw. I could never figure out why there was a bridge going over nothing, but now I do. Way back in the 50s and 60s, the lakes were filled with industry produced water...salt. All the kids swam in them. Funny, though...a lot of those kids have died of cancer at young ages...
Who says over 40 is over the hill? I enjoy listening to great music from all decades and genres, walking hand in hand with the one I love and nurturing the two smartest funnest kids ever! Although I'm not a native of West Texas, I've been here long enough to know the drill. HOT, WINDY and DESOLATE! So, that's why you'll find me and the kids heading out to some of our favorite hangs out...these places would include mild temperatures, mild winds and lush landscapes! I stick around because one day I'm hoping the Permian Basin will be underwater once again, and then I'll have beach front property! :D

Holy Mackerel! Stay off that road!
I wonder if it could be another sink starting. Are there injection/disposal wells in the area?

Hey, don't end up in a sink hole.
