Humble Pie

A few days ago when my daughter asked me to grill hamburgers, I replied with, "Wait till Thursday." My innocent reply brought a stream of tears to my precious one's eyes, causing her to think we were poorer than dirt. I was admonished by some at my lack of handling my finances correctly, starving my poor child and pretty much just being an awful hack. So, to restore the good faith of all in my abilities to be a proper mother and provider of nutrition....voila...hamburgers, chips and bottled Dr. Pepper for Princess Annie.

You're such a good mommy. And who were these rude admonishers?

Not so much admonishing, but feeling awfully sad for The Princess, if I remember correctly one was even brought to tears himself.

Who is the new kid in the picture? And, it is easy to be brought to tears by the princess. She is just so darn cute. Like her mom. The Queen.

The new kid is Tristian, a school chum of Annie's. He was also one of the Mario brothers from Halloween trick or treating.

I'm brought teary eyed nearly every evening, Mr. Durango, when I see my darling sleeping peacefully...just a happy mommy moment. :)

Oh, and thanks for thinking I'm cute like her.

Oh my, is that Dublin Dr. Pepper? I'm not big on Dr. Pepper, except for the Dublin TX version!!
